Tigriss is a new breed of British recording artist, songwriter, musician and performer. She invents, combines and corrupts many different music genres, arts, dance and street cultures including Freerunning to create a unique and exciting sound and mind-blowing stage performance never seen before! Tigriss is a woman with passion, originality, style and an inexhaustible reservoir of determination, commitment and energy. Most importantly, she has a very powerful and soulful vocal (“…Soul Diva…soulful influences of Aretha Franklin and Tina Turner…and reminded me of a young Madonna with far more range” - Baz Bamigboye, Daily Mail), is a gifted song writer, has a staggering dance vocabulary and is “exceptionally beautiful” (not our words but those of Robin Derek, Creative Director ‘Vogue’, London).

Tigriss has co-written 3 of the tracks featured here and has been writing many songs for her debut album for over 3 years. Tigriss and her management realise that great songs and production are fundamental to achieving her goals and are very keen to collaborate with other writers, producers and remixers.

We are in the process of finalising Tigriss’ first live shows which will be an audio-visual spectacular! Tigriss has been relentlessly rehearsing for these shows and we are sure you will appreciate the freshness, versatility and creativeness of her performances as she incorporates her unique mix of dance, Freerunning and theatricals.

There are a couple of cool videos of Tigriss with the renowned 3Run team at Freerunning practice and one of Tigriss’ dance rehearsals. We also hope you like the teasers from Tigriss’ forthcoming comic titled ‘Emergence’. Emergence has been a long and productive collaboration of fantastic writers and artists including Shane McCarthy (DC Comic fame).

Tigriss has grown up listening and living with seminal artists like; Aretha Franklin, Ruth Brown, Little Richard, Rick James, Bobby Bland, James Brown, Otis Redding, Jackie Wilson, Barry White, Tina Turner, Billy Paul, Mahalia Jackson, Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Jean Carne, Prince, Earth Wind & Fire, Elvis Presley, Freddie Mercury, Luther Vandross, Teddy Pendergrass, Mick Jagger, Axl Rose and David Bowie. Studying dance for over 14 years, her role models are diverse and include; Fayard and Harold Nicholas, Gene Kelly, Fred Astaire, Cyd Charisse, Eleanor Powell, Jerome Robbins, Don Campbell and the Lockers and of course one of the greatest of all Michael Jackson.

In a business of usually unjustified clichés and superlatives, it is all too simple to forget what artistic excellence is all about. We live in an environment of instant success, where reality TV can make the boy/girl next door an overnight star regardless of their capability or talent, making artists like Tigriss a true rarity.
